Advantages
of a Bequest gift to the children served by Bethel Bible Village Children's Home:
1. Allows you to help continue Bethel's
ministry to neglected and hurting children beyond your lifetime.
2. Opportunity for you to give a much
larger gift than you may be able to give during your lifetime.
3. If your estate is taxable, a bequest
to the Bethel children allows you to redirect some of your estate
assets to benefit them, rather than those assets going to the government
as estate taxes.
4. As a final act of your commitment
to God's work through Bethel, you may inspire your family and friends
to become involved with a ministry you valued so highly.
If you would like to make a bequest to
Bethel Bible Village Children's Home, here is some sample wording to assist your
attorney as he/she drafts or revises your Will or Revocable Living
Trust. This wording will need to be reviewed by your attorney and
changed as needed to fit your specific facts and circumstances.

A Gift Bequest in Your Will to a Charitable Lead
Trust:
You can choose in your Will or Revocable
Living Trust to transfer a portion of your estate assets to a trust
that will pay out annual payments to Bethel Bible Village Children's Home for a
number of years. You specify the number of years. At the end of
the specified years, the trust assets are then distributed to your
family. This arrangement is called a Charitable Lead Trust.
Many people use this type of arrangement
where they have sufficient estate assets to distribute a reasonable
portion to their family at the time of death, but may not want to
distribute all assets at that time. This arrangement also works
well to reduce estate taxes. Taxes are reduced because the value
of the income stream of money for several years to charity. This
income to charity over time reduces the value of the assets to be
distributed to family members. The IRS allows the assets to valued
at a discount for estate tax purposes.
