Join us for the 2012 Bethel Classic Weekend, featuring the Bethel Country Connection and the Bethel Golf Classic! The Bethel Country Connection Join us May 17th at 6:00 pm for an evening of music, laughter, food, & fun with Kelley Lovelace and friends. This "writers in the round" style concert will feature Kelley Lovelace, Hunter Hayes, Neil Thrasher and Rivers Rutherford, and will be held at the Chattanoogan Hotel. Tickets will go on sale Friday, April 20th! The Lineup Kelley Lovelace Born in Kentucky, Kelley Lovelace was primarily raised in Hixson, TN. Kelley has been a friend to Bethel for many years and has experienced great success as a Nashville songwriter. His breakout hit, “He Didn’t Have to Be,” was recorded by Brad Paisley in 1999 and reached #1 country single in December of that year. Kelley has also written songs for Carrie Underwood, Joe Nichols, and Lauren Alaina and many others.
Hunter Hayes At the age of 20, Hunter Hayes is no stranger to the stage. Hunter has been involved from an early age. Singing with Hank Williams at the age of 4 and starring with Robert Duvall in “The Apostle,” at age 6 are just a few of his early accomplishments. As a nominee for the ACM new artist of the year in 2012, Hunter spent 2011 releasing his debut album, touring with Taylor Swift, and making is Grand Ole Opry Debut. His single “Storm Warning” is currently being played on radio stations all over the country!
Rivers Rutherford Rivers’ big break came in 1989 when country music icons Cash, Jennings, Willie Nelson & Kris Kristofferson recorded his song, “American Remains,” as The Highwaymen. Rivers moved to Nashville in 1993 and in 1996 signed with Universal Music Publishing and remains with the company today . In 2001, Rivers wrote his first number one hit “Aint Nothin Bout You” which was recorded by Brooks and Dunn. It won the ASCAP Song of the Year in 2002. Rivers continues to write and has had many hits since his Brooks and Dunn track in 2001 including songs recorded by Gretchen Wilson, Tim McGraw and Montgomery Gentry.
Neil Thrasher Neil Thrasher is no newcomer to the Nashville scene. Winner of the ASCAP songwriter of the year in 2004, Neil Thrasher has written hits for Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Diamond Rio & Montgomery Gentry. His current hit, “Tattoos on this Town,” was recorded by Jason Aldean and released to country radio in September 2011. Upon its release as a single, the song debuted at number 59 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart the week of August 27, 2011 and peaked at number 2 for six weeks, making it Thrasher’s thirteenth top ten hit on this chart.
